wedding pictures

I've been around.. mostly worried about my wedding photos and cuddling with my husband. *sigh* I love being newly married its like all the troubles that you had before you got married - ie disagreements about wedding stuff just melts away and you can just be happy. I am happy. So happy. Aaron says we are broke because the wedding was expensive. I think its so rude that a bunch of people RSVP'd that they were coming and then just didn't come... but whatever. People had fun. Heather came from Utah...etc. I didn't really notice the missing people except for the tables that had like 4 people at them when there should have been 7 to 8 people. I should have sent someone around and told people to squish together. Oh well.

The wedding was great. Really really great. My mom didn't come, but that was her decision and in the end, I was okay with it. It was only mentioned a few times at the wedding - mostly by my grandma who thought it was a travesty that she wasn't there.

Everything went well for the most part. My sister was annoying me because she kept trying to convince me that everything I wanted was wrong -

Like:
* I thought my make-up was too dark - she thought it looked fine and said there wasn't enough time to take it off. In retrospect, there was plenty of time, but I just didn't get around to it.
* I wanted to take pictures before the ceremony, she thought there wasn't enough time and it was horrible for guests to see me dressed.. I didn't care. but I caved in and didn't do it. In retrospect - I ended up not getting a lot of fun shots with the bridesmaids, just portraits, I regret that.
* She thought that since I was already finished that I shouldn't wait around for my bridesmaids to get their hair done, I thought that it was rude to leave them so I stayed. i'm glad I did. We had fun at the beer company getting lunch with the photographer. We ate and he gave us a mini-photo lesson.

The wedding day went quick, really quick .. at least once the ceremony started. It seemed like 5 would never get there.. and then before I knew it, it was 11..

All the little details like songs that we walked in to the reception to, didn't really cross my mind, and I really can't tell you what I threw the bouquet to or what was playing when we cut the cake. I noticed our first dance song and all the ceremony music though.

I think this is one of my favorites so far.. this is a picture of my Maid of Honor Rachel about knocking Priscilla (my BM) out in a race to get the bouquet..

This picture was taken by 's date Joey.. I'm assuming because thats her in the corner..

I think Priscilla managed to at least part of it, like at least one flower out, because it appeared in her hair about 10 minutes later..


Oh and here is table one.. who loves me sooo much that they wrote it like 10 times on my guestbook frame.. lol

So we picked up our guestbook frame today and discovered a few things...

1. Someone at the wedding thought our dj was hot

Yay! Aaron's cast is off. Now he has a walking boot.. but he might be able to leave that off for the wedding as long as he feels comfortable.

PS. I wish people would stop cancelling on the wedding. I think I should wait until friday night to do the seating chart... lol.

Drama - drama - drama!

I talked to Rachel yesterday and she was basically telling me that no one really liked my other Bridesmaid, Priscilla that went to the bachelorette party. So now I'm worried that they are all going to be mean to her at the wedding. I really don't understand it. Plus Rachel kind of made it sound like since 3 of them have been doing most of the "work" that no one else matters or something. I don't know.

I appreciate the "work" they have been doing, but I don't think on the day of, any of that matters because when the others are there they should all get along. I think they are mad because one of my BMs can't really do a lot of stuff because she lives with a strict family. but apparently they resent the fact that she can't come to the work parties but she can come to the drinking party. *sigh*

Anyways, I guess they are all mad at me because they think I'm siding with Priscilla and not them. So that means I don't appreciate them or something. So thats why they basically ditched me at the bachelorette party. Which didn't go all that well. It kind of ended with me calling Aaron crying to come get me (which he can't because he has a cast on his leg) and finally just getting my friend Marissa to take me home.




They also think that I shoud just let the other BM Tasha bring her boyfriend because she's been helping and spent lots of money or something. Even if it is a week before the wedding, we should just do it to keep peace and keep her friendship or something. Well I'm sorry but we've spent lots of money too and if she wants to be a b*tch about everything, and throw a tantrum, I'm not going to give in. I don't want her there if she is going to be like that.

I gave her the option of paying for him to go. Aaron already said he's not going to add anyone else at this point. I even asked him and he said no, she can live one day without him or she can pay for him. So I told her that if she wanted to pay for him, we would add him. So she goes on and on about how much she's already spent and she doesn't want to pay for him.

How dare I invite some people from work when she's known me longest and she should get dibs on any space at the wedding to bring a date. Then she says that her invite said "and guest" which I know isn't true because I didn't give anyone an "and guest". I either knew the name of the date, or they didn't get a date.

Then she said I'm stupid because no one ever invites people without dates.. and how dare i think that anyone would ever want to come alone.. even if she does know other people..etc.

So then I get some text from Tasha saying that even Rachel thinks I'm being ridiculous and then continues to go on and on about how no one wants to go to the wedding on Saturday. Like my mom or my brother. So that should tell me something about myself and blah blah blah.

I'm sorry but I'm done with her. If she thinks that little of me, I don't want her to come. So I called Ray and he said that they all need to get over themselves and be happy and supportive or they just need to not come. He said he's excited for me and he will tell anyone off who tries to ruin my day.

I'm considering bumping Rachel and Kerry off the head table and just having Ray and Andy sit up there with me since they seem to be most excited and supportive this week. Everyone else seems to want to cause drama. :-/

Do you think its too late to just remove the entire bridal party and just have my sister and cousin be in it?
Maybe we can have ray and andy stand on my side too!!

Flaky bridesmaid quit

I don't know if anyone remembers me complaining about my flaky bridesmaid who kept flaking on me ..etc.

Well she just quit last night.

Why?

So she just got back together with her loser boyfriend last weekend.. They have been broken up with for several months now... he just told her to get out one day, no reason or explaination. She cried for weeks.

Now they just got back together and one week before my wedding she demands that I add him to the guestlist so he can come. I told her that there are no open spots, and that if one opens up, I'll let her know.

So she sends me 50 text messages demanding to know why he's not invited and why he can't come and she promises he won't eat or sit down or touch the bar or anything!! he just has to go or she'll DIE without him. like seriously die!! because she can't stand one day at her friends wedding without a date.

if she wasn't being such a b*tch about it, I'd just let her bring him... but she can't ask nicely. She just has to declare one day that she's bringing him whether I like it or not and we better figure out a way to make that happen! because they will be there!! I'm sorry but that is just rude and selfish. Plus she called me stupid and mean... because that is the way to persuade someone.

*sigh* what am i going to do?


So.. I've known her a long time. She had previously quit because she was being flaky because of this same BF. He didn't want her to go anywhere without him..etc. So she quit. Then she begged and begged and begged to be let back in, and so I did and now I regret that decision.

She spent my entire bridal shower in the bathroom on the phone.

She just left the invitation party randomly without telling anyone and came back two hours later.

She has been on and off about refusing to cover her tattoo (its a naked fairy ... complete with anatomy.. which i'm sorry is inappropriate for a wedding. Its rather large and completely visible in the dresses.)

etc...etc.

Saturday night at the bachelorette party she complained about everything.. how much she is spending, how much work this is, about how mean I am she can't bring a date..etc. All really loudly for an hour. I mean why can't she shut up and be happy?

So I asked her yesterday why she can't just be happy for me?
and she went on and on about how I'm not letting her bring someone..etc.

Yesterday Rachel and I went to my hair trial yesterday at Salon 101 in Lodi. I have no pictures because she didn't leave my hair up so I could see how it lasted the day. I don't know why I paid $50 (which she didn't tell me about before she did my hair) if she didn't really do anything other than curl my hair. Plus once she started playing with it, and twisted it around and pinned it. Then she took the pins out and it looked like crap. Seriously... and I had to leave like that. I was mad. Plus it took her so long to do my hair, that we arrived at 11:30 and left around 2. That is waay too long. I called the other salon- Exhale, and talked to the other person i was originally talking to and set up a trial appointment for Thursday afternoon. I'm almost 99% sure that I'm going to switch salons.. AGAIN. I just did not like how the trial went. :( at all. :(

I finished my programs, placecards, and table numbers...

I think they came out really nice.

I'm glad to be done..


I was running the end of the ribbon over a flame to seal it so it didn't fray. Something I learned from . :)

Anyways, so the cat saw me dangling ribbon and thought I was playing a game. He came over to play and caught on fire. Seriously. He was only on fire for a second and he's perfectly okay. He was a little freaked out. His fur was a little singed on one side, but luckily he's a long haired cat and it didn't go near his skin. The singed hair ends fell off and now he's a little frayed on one side.. So yeah. Next time I'll lock the cat in the bathroom or something.

Cat about 1 minute after it happening. He is fine. :)

However my grandma called last weekend and complained that we didn't invite my uncle.

1. He lives in San Diego and I haven't seen him since my sisters med school graduation five years ago.. before that I hadn't seen him in like 10 years.

2. So now he doesn't want to come but his wife, my cousin and their friend Luz wants to come.

WHAT?

oh and we did confirm that my mom and brother are NOT coming to the wedding.

Although they are trying to throw it back on me saying that I freaked out because my brother wasn't going to be in the wedding, which I did... because we are two weeks away from the wedding, and he's dropping out? but he still would come to the wedding but only if my mom came? That just has "they aren't even going to show up" written all over it. It like if they were really coming, why wouldn't he just be in the wedding?

So whatever..


So we added them to our count yesterday when we turned it in. Now they aren't going to come. So I called today and asked if we could change the number and the venue said no. :( So now we're paying for the bar for 3 people who aren't coming. Luckily we can just remove them from the caterers count because it hasn't been finalized. grrrr...
