Bridal Shower drama

So my shower is tomorrow!!

Yay!

However...

the drama.. It will never end!

Problems that have arisen:

A: MaOH is supposed to send out invites, sends them out very slowly and in some cases only giving people a weeks notice.

B: MOH and MaOH want to plan the whole thing, but since they live out of town, I tell them that FGIL has offered her house. They are excited and proceed to plan it at her house... without even calling her to fill her in on the details.. So what does she do? She goes out and buys some decorations and stuff thinking that maybe they would need it.
MOH and MaOH freak out. They don't want her doing anything to "ruin the theme". So now that she has bought punch (oh the horror) it ruins their theme - whatever it is.

C: I take MOH over to FGILs house and they meet and talk over the shower. I'm sitting right there. MOH tells FGIL that she doesn't really need anything and that FGIL's house is more than enough. We mention a few items that FGIL can make if she wanted. I had already told MOH that they needed to let FGIL do something.. anything to make her feel involved. They give her a couple of food assignments and ask that maybe she provide some soda or something for the guests that would like some.

Well now that she has subsituted punch for soda, they are freaking out. I was like well why does it matter? and MOH was like I spent a lot of money buying some stuff and I want people to drink that.. not some $10 punch.. um okay. Whatever. YOU TELL HER because I'm not. This is what happens when no one calls and confirms anything with her.

*sigh*

D: Two night ago MaOH called me and said she was having trouble with putting the cake order in and she wanted me to go and make sure it was received. I had FGIL do it instead because I was working and she went by and called MaOH and MOH to tell them that it wasn't received. MOH called me and asked why FGIL was there looking for the cake. I said MaOH called me and asked me to go check on it, I couldn't so FGIL offered to go. No big deal... they live around the corner.
MaOH tells FGIL that she's going to try to figure out why her order wasn't received but she might need FGIL to go by and re-order the cake since the bakery doesn't have a number. (its costco.. nom nom nom). So FGIL waits all day and no one calls her back to tell her otherwise, so she goes and orders a cake. MOH freaks out because FGIL has ordered the cake when MaOH was supposed to. I say no big deal, its done now, Someone should have called her..etc. Have MaOH give you the money she was planning to do for the cake and use it to help pay for something else.

Then BM who is also helping freaks out too because they are "working hard planning this" and I'm letting someone else just undermine their whole theme! I was like whats the big deal, you need cake - you have cake. You don't need punch, put it in a corner... or get there early and have her not make it. Whatever. I shouldnt be the one dealing with FGIL, and if someone had actually called FGIL and straightened everything out and filled her in on all the details FROM THE START. You wouldnt have this "problem".

Of course I'm going to tell her its okay, its already done. What do you want me to do? Tell her no? Tell her she has to take it back ASAP? Um no.

If you guys want to be mad, be mad at yourselves because you can't call someone back and let them know what is going on.

When FGIL called me and asked me anything, I said that it would be taken care of and not to worry about it. Its the stuff YOU asked her to do that is getting "messed up". Be more clear...

and WHY OH WHY am I being BITCHED at for this?
